Works alright, nails are annoying Dec 17, 2011

I got these clips to run Cables To Go 27157 Cat6 550 Mhz Snagless Patch Cable, Black (100 Feet) from my downstairs to my upstairs, near hardwood floors, carpeted stairs, and through the bottom of a doorframe. They worked great, though it took a bit of effort.
Pro:
+ Clips were just the right size for my Cat6 cable. Snug without hurting it.
+ Plastic appears relatively robust: no splitting
+ good uniformity in shape/size of the plastic
+ worked for mounting in sheetrock, and oak baseboards and door frames.
Con:
- The nails were annoying. I had to push them out so I could get the clip flush against the wall before nailing, and the nail would pop out if I wasn't careful. I think this is more something to be aware of rather than any sort of defect.
Why four stars instead of five? They're a good value - at least for the price I paid for them, a few cents per clip - but I was disappointed by the problems I had with the nails. Even if it's my problem, I bet some clever person could design clips where it wasn't an issue.
