Adequate, but flawed Oct 27, 2010
By Douglas E. Hassell

The adapter is exactly as advertised; featuring a D-sub 15 (VGA) female connector routed through 3 RCA-type male plugs for video signal conversion. The signal is strong with no discernible noise. In that sense, it functions perfectly.
What disappoints me is the physical design. The D-sub connector is housed with male fittings, or the threaded prongs that would hold a male connector to its counterpart. Typically, a female connector would feature threaded holes to receive the prongs and secure the connection. Attaching this adapter with a male D-sub cable results in a connection that cannot be secured, since you have two sets of threaded prongs pointing at each other; it pulls apart with very little effort. Viva los vinyl tape and/or duct tape! That's your best shot at having a secure connection with this adapter.
not sure what the heck Jan 04, 2012
By Henryiiianderson I havent found a use for it. Tried hookin up a security cam up to my new computer screen instead of using a tv. No luck any advicek?? I dont know much about this stuff but seemed simple. Wasnt outragous ttho so no biggy
Works as described Nov 15, 2011
By Doug Martin The unit works as described. As other reviewers mentioned, it would be better for the unit to have threaded nuts instead of thumb screws so the VGA end can be secured to the video cable. Assuming you do not need to install where stress is placed on the cable that would pull the VGA side apart, the cable works great and serves a big need for people needing to hook up an older projector to a HD video source.
Does not work! Sep 09, 2011
By amazoncustomer This cable is built cheaply and did not work. The signal was too noisy. It was not worth paying the shipping fee to return it!
Works! Jul 08, 2011
By Jorge Henao Bought this months ago. The Component outs of my FIOS box feeds this baby which then attaches through the Female VGA to a male VGA cable that goes to my projector. Image is crystal clear. No noise artifacts. My projector auto detects when a 1080p signal is sent through this cable and makes adjustments. Works as intended.
