A small package - a large headache Dec 22, 2009
By A. Antonuccio I've had this product for several months now - yes, gluten for punishment and stubborn. I am using 3 HDMI ports into one receiver. The video and audio will sporadically cut in and out. No rhyme or reason as to why. Unplug it, plug it back in - most times that fixes the problem. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone who simply wants what this product should do - plug and play.

Works... sorta. Sep 21, 2010
By Robert The first one I received didn't work at all, right out of the box. Frankly, I suspect that it had been returned previously and was just thrown back into stock without checking it out (there was no instruction manual in the package). Not good.
The second one works marginally better... sorta. As a test, I first connected this device to my Sony Brevia LCD in the bedroom, which has two HDMI ports. I tried them both, and the result can best be described as "sporadic." The switch would search for and eventually find the connection. After a few minutes, though, the connection would get dropped, and the only way to get it back was to "reboot" the TV. Unacceptable.
With my "real" setup, the results are better. I use the switch to feed my Pioneer Elite monitor. So far (after about a month), it hasn't exhibited any major problems. It *is* a tad annoying, though. It's very slow finding the Pioneer at startup. For now, I'm willing to live with it. We'll see...

Like a product to "Just work", then don't buy this! Nov 27, 2009
By Jasen Hicks I bought this thinking, "How hard can a switch box be?" since every other switchbox I have ever owned "just worked". This one simply does not work. I have had it less than a month and it is driving me absolutely crazy. It does take 4 HDMI inputs and you can select which one you want to use, but it will automatically jump to another input whenever it wants rendering it completely unusable. I have had to resort to unplugging the inputs into the box I am not using at the moment just so I can use this thing. Not the convenience I had hoped for, nor the way it should work.
Simply put do not buy this thing, it is a waste of money and not worth it. If I could find the box, it would be getting a one way ticket back to Amazon.
